How to Deal with Stress & Anxiety

Identifying the causes and symptoms of stress is key to solving the problem

Are you often stressed beyond the breaking point? Do you feel
overwhelmed by day-to-day tasks? Is it difficult or impossible to get
to sleep at night? You could be living with stress and anxiety and not
even know it.

Stress can be caused by many stressors such as financial problems,
loosing a job, moving school/house, exams, public speaking, aging,
divorces, weddings, accidents, illness. We can't avoid stress, but we
can learn how to deal with it.

Stress is characterized by feelings of nervousness, inability to focus,
and constant worrying. It can be triggered by almost anything -- the
daily hassles of work, household tasks, or other less regular
stressors. Recognizing stress and anxiety is very important!

Stress can cause mood swings, irritability, and can even lead to
clinical depression. Do you sometimes feel as if you are simply
watching your life go by? Do you feel empty or overburdened, or
unmotivated to perform tasks? These are some questions you can use to
determine whether stress is affecting You, Your life, and Your
happiness.

What Stress Does to You

Understand its effects and benefit from this revolutionary program

-

The effects of stress on brain and physiological function are negative
and manifold. Those suffering from generalized stress experience a dip
in the levels of serotonin in the brain -- this neurotransmitter is a
brain chemical that helps regulate the feeling of happiness. In
addition, stress affects levels of dopamine, another chemical that
affects the body's sense of calm or its level of alertness. So in
effect, stress depresses your mood levels, making it nearly impossible
to achieve tranquility or happiness.

Knowing all this, it's important to get a handle on your stress as soon
as you recognize it. If you answered the questions above with "yes,"
it's time to start dealing with stress!

Stress Management

Useful information your doctor may not have told you about

There are many therapies for dealing with stress, both pharmaceutical
and psychological. However, some of the most effective therapies
involve changes in diet and exercise. Exercise has been proven to
regulate mood level, by stimulating serotonin production. Changing your
diet can also help regulate your mood incorporating more fruits and
vegetables into your meals will provide your brain with much-needed
vitamins and minerals. In addition, consuming herbal and dietary
supplements such as withania somnifera, valerian root, B vitamins (such
as B5 and B6), and thiamine will help regulate your sleep cycles,
energy metabolism, and brain function. A lot of people feel stressed
when they feel like time is working against them in meeting deadlines,
so it's very important to manage your time. Once you have mastered time
management it would be a lot easier for you to handle stress.

How to Combat Stress

However, if these strategies simply do not work for you, there are
other noninvasive methods you can use to deal with stress, like
Mini-Relaxation Exercises, Mindfulness Meditation, Transcendental
Meditation, Progressive Muscle Relaxation, Deep Breathing Relaxation,
Guided Imagery, Self-Massage, Autogenic Training, Tai Chi, Yoga.

One of these is the practice of mindfulness meditation: through reading
or listening to a mindfulness meditation CD, one can learn to live in
the moment and gain control over feelings of stress, anxiety, panic or
sadness. This method is most effective when practiced on a daily basis,
as it provides a foundation of calm and tranquility that can be drawn
upon when you are most in need. Mindfulness can be practiced anytime,
by paying attention to what you are doing whether you're at home, in
the car, or at work.

Another method similar to mindfulness meditation is brain entrainment.
This method also incorporates RELAX MUSIC, but instead of verbal
meditation instructions, brain entrainment uses music to stimulate
brain activity and calm the nervous system. Try listening to this music
on your daily commute, or incorporate it into an exercise regimen for
maximum benefit.

Find other ZORGIUM pages using AZ.COM:

Enter your search keyword(s) into the search input field of http://az.com
The zorgium specific results appear in the right hand margin.

Find other ZORGIUM pages using your favorite search engine:

Enter your search keyword(s) and the keyword "zorgium" into the search input field of http://bing.com, http://yahoo.com or http://google.com.

Heads up: There's an ongoing spamdexing of Google searchbot algorithms. Sites that are 'copies of copies' and cloaked sites which include Zorgium keywords presented to search engine crawlers yet garbage content presented to human visitors were hosted on thousands of IP addresses and domains registered immediately after the introduction of Zorgium in November of 2009. The Hostgator/'The Planet'/Softlayer datacenters in Texas seem to be the epicenter of this activity in conjunction with anonymously registered domains of various TLD's but primarily .info domains at Godaddy which, in our opinion, has some sort of connection to the domains of goldmint.in and goldmint.org. Google has begun to notice this and has begun to lower the ranking of these sites and put our original sites back on top of the search rankings. These actions, as far as we can tell, negatively impact the use of the keyword 'zorgium' as a search term and provided little benefit, if any, to the perpetrators.

ZORGIUM note to content providers: If you don't want your page to appear in Zorgium's search abstraction then put an exclusion for "Zorgium" in your web server's robots.txt file.

DISCLAIMER: Zorgium is a free world-wide-web engine from AZ.COM. You may use it, but by doing so you agree that your use of other people's information discovered via our website is entirely your responsibility. Enjoy!
